I sit by this stone and
look around
That pile of dirt is now
green ground
Its amazing how life keeps
moving along
People keep laughing as
if nothings wrong
I strain to hear her answer
calling back to me
But silence is the only
thing answering my plea
I reach out to friends,
but don't recognise faces
Everything changed leaving
me no traces
Sometimes the world seems
so out of control
I wish it would wait for
me to catch up
But first I would have to
stand and walk away
Thats the hardest part
It seems like its my life
they stole
As the world passes me by
Black and white is now shades
of gray
as light fades to dark
I drive alone singing our
old songs
I wish I had the chance
to right all my wrongs
Wish I could've said goodbye
I need you here to hold
me as I cry
I still can't find any sleep
Pulled down far to deep
Hearing about new adventures
and places
Of those friends with unrecognised
faces
Sometimes the world seems
so out of control
I wish it would wait for
me to catch up
But first I would have to
stand and walk away
Thats the hardest part
It seems like its my life
they stole
As the world passes me by
Black and white is now shades
of gray
as light fades to dark
I feel removed from the
life around
I listen for help but hear
no sound
I reach out to you, but
you've already moved on
leaving me at your final
resting place
