All my life I've hoped for undying satisfaction,
Happiness found in arms holding me close,
But time after time arms have let go,
And you're always there to catch me,
You've slowly broken down my wall,
You've opened my eyes to see,
I can trust you with my life,
Here's my life and here's the key,
Times will change and people will leave,
Apologies will come for scars cut deep,
I've walked my self-destructive path,
I'm ready to give you all control,
Lord my hearts been broken piece by piece,
But I want you to take what's left of me,
All my life I've waited for my prince charming,
The prince that would come sweep me off my feet,
I never realised he took me away at six,
And saved me before my first breath,
I was too afraid to put all my trust in you,
Too afraid to let go of this life I lead,
But it's time to let my old self go,
And time to let you lead,
Times will change and people will leave,
